The Vindication Project©
Our project is very simply aimed at correcting a legal injustice.
Our staff of supporters & researchers help Rabbi Fred Neulander receive
JUSTICE
This Project is about Justice and Injustice, revolving around a high profile murder case that involved a Rabbi that lost his wife, lost his reputation, lost his pulpit and Temple, lost all privacy and eventually lost his freedom. Rabbi Neulander has lost everything. He was once a very well respected and extremely popular Reform Rabbi in Southern, New Jersey, now he’s the only Rabbi to ever be (wrongfully) convicted of murder in the United States.
The Vindication Project is actively seeking private lawyers to represent Rabbi Neulander in the final phase of his current New Jersey PCR Appeal of his murder conviction of 2003. Paralegals and Private Investigators are also encouraged to help uncover the facts that should lead to the NJ Apellate Court overturning Rabbi Neulander's wrongful conviction.

In the beginning .....
Rabbi Neulander was an instant suspect in the murder of his wife, Carol Neulander.
Just two days before Carol’s murder, Fred and his wife Carol had just argued, mentioning divorce. He had girlfriends on the ‘side’, which he denied at first, which gave him another ‘possible’ motive. The problem was that the Rabbi was at his Temple, M’Kor Shalom and had many alibi witnesses. This caused the investigation to leap to a murder for hire plot, since the Rabbi was guilty they felt, and they needed to prove that theory. For the next 5 years, they worked very hard to solve the case. They never did solve the case. Leonard Jenoff ‘solved’ the case. Lenny came to the rescue.
In April, 2000, Leonard Jenoff and Paul Daniels ‘confessed’ to killing Carol Neulander on November 1, 1994, saying that the Rabbi hired him and he subcontracted the violence out to Paul Daniels. Jenoff’s testimony convicted Rabbi Fred Neulander.
In 2009, everything changed. In the next few years, much would change, all except that the Rabbi would remain in custody, where he has to wait to win his release at his next PCR (Post-Conviction Relief) hearing.
This is the story of how Rabbi Neulander fought for his legal exoneration, now that Leonard Jenoff has exonerated him on the record.

The New Jersey legal case of Reuben 'Hurricane' Carter is very similar to the case of Rabbi Fred Neulander. Reuben was able to obtain legal relief for his wrongful conviction of murder. Bob Dylan wrote this excellent song that outlines Reuben's case and it helped garner the public's outrage of injustice in New Jersey. Reuben went on to become legally VINDICATED and gained his release from prison. The feature film: "HURRICANE" was made to tell his entire story of how easily the false testimony of just ONE man, can imprison you for life. The injustice is even worse, when the prosecution of a murder case uses the testimony from the man who is the actual murderer to place an innocent man in prison for life.

Please help us prove that Rabbi Neulander received similar injustice in New Jersey.
